Hartwick College, a nationally ranked, selective Liberal Arts & Sciences institution, invites applications for multiple adjunct positions as Visiting Assistant Professor in Spanish starting in the Fall 2020 semester, pending final administrative approval.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach beginning and intermediate Spanish courses as well as Spanish for the professions, especially health care depending on their training and expertise. Teaching load will average 20 semester credit hours or their equivalent per academic year, and faculty teach during the College’s distinctive four-week January Term. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching, active engagement in scholarly or creative activities, and working closely with today’s students in a small college environment. Committee service and academic advising are also expected.
Minimum qualifications include a masters degree in Spanish or a related field. Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English required.
