The Department of Languages and Linguistics within The College of Arts and Letters at The University of Tampa is seeking candidates for an Assistant Teaching Professor of Spanish (non-tenure track) position beginning in Fall 2024. The position is renewable and eligible for promotion.

Teaching duties are eight courses (32 credits) per academic year. 

Requisitos 

Applicants holding a Ph.D. in Spanish by the time of application will be preferred, though experienced and dedicated teachers who hold an M.A. or have yet to complete their Ph.D. will also be considered. The ability to teach French or Italian in addition to Spanish is preferred, but not required. 

Ideal candidates must have native-like proficiency in Spanish and be outstanding teachers who are willing to commit to elementary and intermediate language instruction, coordinate beginning and intermediate Spanish language courses, as well as promote the Department’s various language programs in and out of the classroom. 

Candidates should have knowledge and experience in the use of the latest technology for teaching, assessment, curriculum design, and electronic portfolios.
