Doane University, a liberal arts university with campuses in Crete and Lincoln, and an Omaha Location, invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Spanish (tenure track) to begin in fall 2024 on our Crete Campus. Doane’s Spanish program offers a B.A., a minor, and certificates. It values teaching methods and experiential learning, including study abroad, that allows students to be linguistically proficient, multi-literate, and culturally competent global citizens. Our Spanish program maintains a strong relationship with the Spanish-speaking community in Crete.
The successful candidate will teach all levels of Spanish including elementary, intermediate, and advanced language classes; as well as literature and culture, especially in relation to Latin America. Preference may be given to a candidate who is interested in seeking cultural and service connections with the community described above.
