The Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at Virginia Military Institute invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Spanish position beginning 1 August 2023.
The successful candidate will teach courses in language, literature, and culture. The standard teaching load is six courses per year (3-3) with required participation in academic advising, committee work, and scholarship. Mentoring of undergraduate research is highly encouraged.
Requisitos
A Ph.D. in Spanish/Hispanic Studies is required but the specialization is open.
Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English required.
Faculty members at VMI wear uniforms and adhere to military customs, but military experience is not required.
