The Instituto de Lengua y Cultura Españolas (ILCE) at Universidad de Navarra (Spain) seeks a dynamic professor with substantial experience teaching Spanish undergraduate and graduate courses at the university level in the United States (a minimum of 1-2 years teaching experience, living and working in the US). We are also looking for candidates with an active research agenda in Spanish Second Language Teaching from a Sociocultural perspective.
Selected candidate will become part of a dynamic team of researchers, teachers, and professors in one of the leading research centers on innovation on Spanish Second Language Teaching in Europe. Active research agenda and attendance and presentation of research in weekly meeting at the institute are expected. Candidate is also expected to participate in research projects at the Institute.
PhD in Spanish Second Language Teaching or Spanish Applied Linguistics from an accredited institution of higher education, substantial teaching experience in the US (1-2 years), and an active research agenda in Spanish Second Language Teaching, Curriculum Design, Action Research, Sociocultural Theory, and Technology Enhanced Language Learning.
Letter of application, updated CV, research statement, one representative publication, two recent teaching evaluations, and contact information for three references are required of all applicants. Letters of recommendation are not required for initial application. If the selection committee solicits reference letters, Universidad de Navarra will treat them as confidential.
