The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Dickinson College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish with specialization in Latin American studies. This may be a one- or two-year position. Candidates will be expected to teach five courses a year on-campus and in-person, which will include language courses and courses in their specialty.
Requisitos
A Ph.D. in Spanish or comparable field by the time of appointment is preferred. The successful candidate will be committed to undergraduate education in the liberal arts, have a strong research agenda, and actively contribute to the life of our learning community. The ability to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body will be an important characteristic of the successful candidate.
Dickinson College requires that all members of the campus community are fully vaccinated and boosted. Employment in this position is contingent upon primary vaccination plus booster, when eligible, or exemption. New employees must have completed their primary vaccination series and received a booster, when eligible, or have an approved medical or religious exemption within 30 days from date of hire.
