The Department of World Languages and Cultures at Washington College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish to begin on January 16, 2024. This position is for the calendar year and ends December 2024.

Teaching responsibilities include beginning and intermediate Spanish language courses and selected upper-level courses on Hispanic culture (e.g., Cultures and Communities of the Spanish-speaking world in spring 24). In addition, the faculty member is expected to support program-related co-curricular activities.

Requisitos

The successful candidate will have a record of effectiveness in and commitment to undergraduate teaching and possess native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English. An MA in Spanish or a related field is required, but preference will be for those who are ABD or have PhDs.
