The Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Cultures at John Carroll University invites applications for a full-time position in Spanish at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning Fall 2020. This position carries a 4-4 teaching load, which will include all levels of undergraduate Spanish, including language, literature and culture courses.
We seek a colleague with a specialization in the field of contemporary (20th and 21st century) Spanish Peninsular Studies. Preference will be given to candidates who can also teach Spanish for Special Purposes and who have experience with study abroad.The successful candidate will help grow the Spanish program and collaborate across disciplines with such programs as International Business with Language and Culture, the Honors Program, and STEM majors.
Requisitos
Ph.D. in hand by August 2020; commitment to undergraduate teaching; native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English; and a promising
scholarly agenda.
