A fantastic opportunity is awaiting you; the chance to design and shape innovative and creative pedagogical practice in a new all-through academy.
Having appointed exceptional candidates for the first four years of opening, King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) is now looking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and innovative teacher of Modern Foreign Languages with a specialism in Spanish.
Our all-through school opened in a superb new building in September 2018 and we have grown year on year, with our first Year 11 students currently in the final year of their GCSE study. In addition to the secondary phase, we also have two primary phases set across two sites, King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) and King’s Academy Oakwood (KAO). In September 2023, we will have students from year N to year 6 in primary and year 7 through to year 12. Our 6th Form will be opening in September 2023 so experience of teaching at A Level is desirable for this post.
Whilst a main scale role initially, there will be increasing opportunities for leadership roles within the academy as the school expands. Potential is as important as experience.
Requisitos
Applicants should be excellent classroom teachers and have the ability to teach Spanish to A level. Candidates who can also offer French to KS3 will have an advantage. The successful candidate will motivate, inspire and lead students to excel, be a team player and will get stuck in and involve themselves in the wider aspects of academy life. A genuine commitment to our ‘whatever it takes’ ethos is essential to enable every young person at KAB and KAO to thrive.
Languages are an intrinsic part of the curriculum at KAB and KAO, and as such our primary outreach programme is essential. The successful candidate will have an interest in how languages at primary form the foundations for secondary, and be interested in teaching in the primary phase as well as secondary, and in supporting primary teachers through our outreach programme.
