The Department of Languages and Cultures is a pioneer in multi-disciplinary, degree level language studies, offering wide-ranging programmes which combine specialist language learning with trans-cultural knowledge and understanding which is both European and global in scope.

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Teaching Associate who can contribute to delivering the Department's vibrant programmes in Spanish language and Hispanophone societies and cultures and to curriculum development. Lancaster offers Spanish as a single honours programme, in combination with Chinese, French, German and Italian and a wide range of non-language subjects, and as a minor. We cater for ab initio and advanced students. The successful applicant will undertake administrative tasks associated with Spanish modules and the programmes of the Department as a whole, as well as participate in outreach activities. 

This is a fixed term post from 1st  September 2023 – 31st July 2024.
