The Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of Arkansas seeks applications for a full-time instructor in Spanish. Appointment to begin January 02, 2024, for a multi-year contract, renewable contingent upon performance, needs and available funding. This is a standard non-tenure track 9-month Instructor position. The instructor will be expected to teach four courses per semester and assist in the extra-curricular activities organized by the Spanish section and allied programs. 

The Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures promotes an international understanding and global academic exchange. Through the World Languages and Digital Humanities Studio, courses in 12 languages, and participation in many interdisciplinary programs across campus, faculty members empower students to become proficient communicators and acquire a working knowledge of cultures and literatures around the world. https://fulbright.uark.edu/departments/world-languages/

Requisitos 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Spanish.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in both Spanish and English.
  • Teaching experience and evidence of quality teaching across all levels of the Spanish language curriculum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with technology-based instruction.
  • Experience teaching Spanish for the Professions (e.g., business) and/or introductory Spanish literature.
