Descripción 

The Department of Romance Studies seeks a Full-Time Lecturer in Spanish to teach six language courses per year beginning 2024-2025. This position, which is benefits-eligible and which has the potential for renewal, will have an initial appointment of up to three years. This position is subject to budget approval.

The ideal candidate is able to collaborate with colleagues to actively contribute to innovative curriculum development based on current theories and methodologies in Second Language Acquisition. Lecturers are expected to provide service to the department and the University. 

Requisitos 

This position requires proven, effective teaching skills, at least an MA, and native or near-native competency in Spanish. MA required in language, literature, culture, and/or foreign language education. 

Experience teaching at the college level is preferred. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of and expertise in proficiency-based and/or content-based assessment and instruction.
