The expected salary range for this position is $88,000 to $94,100. 

Descripción 

The Hispanic Studies Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2024. We seek candidates to teach courses in contemporary literature and cultures of Spain, as well as Spanish language and conversation.

The position requires institutional service including academic advising of undergraduate students after the first year. 

The Hispanic Studies Department offers a diverse curriculum that includes Spanish language study for both non-heritage and heritage speakers, and an array of courses in Latin American, Spanish, and U.S. Latinx literatures and cultures.  

The teaching load for this position is four courses during the first year and five courses thereafter. The new hire will be expected to contribute to Hamilton’s prestigious program in Madrid. 

Requisitos 

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their experience in teaching or working with broadly diverse student populations.

Candidates with ABD will be considered, although candidates with a Ph.D. are preferred.
